IBS Logistics amends its corporate name to COSCO Logistics (Americas), Inc.
We are pleased to announce that Intermodal Bridge Services, Inc (IBS) has amended its corporate name to COSCO Logistics (Americas), Inc., effective January 1, 2007. The new entity, a joint venture between COSCO Americas Inc. and COSCO Logistics China, will broaden the company’s capabilities into its current portfolio of domestic transportation, trucking, warehousing and distribution services.

IBS Logistics implements Manhattan Associates Inc.’s WMS software to enable its customers’ supply chains
Introduced in 2005, IBS Warehouse Management System (WMS) offers the latest RFID technology of wireless Infer-red label scanning for complete cargo inventory control, warehouse management and pick and pack production scheduling. The WMS system is web based and interfaces with our main G-log system to provide complete logistics and supply chain management.  Manhattan Associates ranked no.1 in a top 20 supply-chain execution software supplier’s poll (http://www.mmh.com/article/CA6351819.html).

IBS Logistics operation center in Chicago, IL
December 2005, IBS Logistics Chicago moved its operations center to a larger facility. The Chicago facility includes a warehouse operation of 60,000 square feet and provides trucking services to all rail ramps in the Chicago area in addition to servicing Midwest states of IL, OH, IN, WI, IA and MO.  The yard can store 175 parked trailers. The facility also includes 14 dock-doors with levelers, drive up ramp, and can accommodate all warehousing and distribution services offered. 

IBS Logistics implements new supply chain strategic focus and services
April 2005, IBS Logistics became a fully independent company, separated from COSCO Container Line Americas, Inc. (CCLA). IBS discontinued providing intermodal services for CCLA Liner controlled intermodal business and began marketing a wider array of transportation and distribution services aimed at satisfying the utility of the global supply chain community.

IBS Logistics operation center in Memphis, TN
After one year of operations, IBS Logistics moved to a larger operations center in Memphis, TN, November 2005. The Memphis facility includes a warehouse operation of 60,000 square feet and provides trucking services to all rail ramps in the Memphis area.  This facility includes 8 dock-doors with levelers and drive up ramp and can accommodate all warehousing and distribution services offered. 

IBS Logistics opens new operation center in Dallas, TX
IBS Logistics opened a new operations center in Dallas, TX, in April 2005. The Dallas facility built in 2005 includes a warehouse operation of 71,000 square feet and CFS services.  This facility includes 14 doors and 1 drive up ramp and can accommodate all warehousing and distribution services offered.  The IBS operation center provides trucking services and access to BNSF, UP and KCS ramps.

Truck Division of IBS Logistics Receives Prestigious Safety Award
IBT Wilmington, CA. attended the California Trucking Associations annual Safety Awards Banquet, Saturday, September 10, 2005, where we received the First Place award for the Safest Fleet in the state of California in the “Intermodal Division”. Accepting the award of IBT Wilmington was Asst. Vice President, Ozzie Zea and Director of Safety, Brent Bradley.

IBS logistics implements G-log software to power its customer’s supply chains
IBS Logistics has implemented GC3 G-log’s Global Command Center software to support its continued growth in the logistics market.  The implementation of G-log provides the technology backbone of IBS Logistics’ total end-to-end supply chain management services.

IBS Logistics opens new operation center in Charleston, SC
IBS Logistics has opened a new operations center in Charleston, SC. The new facility includes an office staff of 25 and warehouse operation of 110,000 square feet.  This on-site airport location will give IBS logistics and opportunity to expand its reach into the airfreight market.  Secaucus, NJ, IBS targets the international logistics market in providing supply chain services.

IBS Logistics awarded customs bond for its new Charleston, South Carolina operation center
The new 110,000 square foot operations center of IBS Logistics has been granted a customers bond by U.S. Customers and Boarder Protection.  This allows IBS Logistics to provide customers the advantage of providing bonded storage to compliment our other supply chains’ services for international shippers.
